Equine Therapy
How it works
Each session is an organic process that is specifically tailored to each client, the horses, and the goals of the session.
Setting goals
Every hUMBLE Therapy session consists of setting goals with the therapist. The client's treatment plan goals mirror those of traditional counseling.
On the ground
Sessions involve establishing a relationship with the horses on the ground. Riding is not required; activities follow the treatment plan.
Communication & trust
Effective communication with a horse requires emotional awareness and regulation. These skills can carry into other relationships.
Tailored activities
Activities with the horses are based on the objectives of the session and the needs of the client and the horses.
Safety first
Physical and emotional safety is the first priority for the clients and horses. Safety will always dictate the various activities during the session.
Mindfulness with the horses is one way to become grounded before doing any other activities with the horses.

Who can it help?
hUMBLE Therapy is a professional counseling approach that can help anyone who is struggling with a wide range of mental health challenges.
